Instructor Qualification Course

In addition, this course develops role-model teaching techniques in the use of first aid for suspected dive injuries and Candidates also have the opportunity to develop further knowledge in relation to the special considerations involved in providing emergency first aid.
What do I do?
The DAN IQC consists of seven modules. There is the core module that introduces DAN and the DAN Training philosophy. This core programme serves as the introduction for all other DAN Training programmes.
The remaining programme modules represent each of the individual training courses offered by DAN such as the Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries, Advanced Oxygen First Aid, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries and Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies.
You must be certified as a Provider before you can be certified as an Instructor for that particular course.
What do I get?
Once your teaching credentials have been verified, you will receive a special listing in the Online Instructor Directory, a DAN Instructor card, a DAN certificate and DAN patch.
What do I go from here?
To maintain Active DAN Instructor Status, you must maintain Active Teaching Status. There are no additional applications or fees once you have received your certification, but you must continue to teach at least one course in each programme every 24 months to maintain active status.
