What do I get?
Once your teaching credentials have been verified, you will receive a special listing in the Online Instructor Directory, a DES Instructor card, a DES certificate and DES patch.
What do I go from here?
To maintain Active DES Instructor Status, you must maintain Active Teaching Status in each of the five DAN programs included. There are no additional applications or fees once you have received your certification, but you must continue to teach at least one course in each programme every 24 months to maintain active status. Moving into Sustaining Status in one program will inactive DES recognition until you regain Active Status in all programmes
DES Instructor Trainer
The requirements to be a DES Instructor Trainer are the same for the DES Instructor, except that you must also have certified at least five Instructors in each of the DAN programs needed for DES Trainer.
To apply for either the DES Instructor rating or the DES Trainer rating, contact Galaxsea Divers.
