PADI Junior Open Water Diver

The oceans cover 70% of the Earth's surface. With PADI Junior Open Water Diver you can become one of very few who are able to experience this fabulous underwater world. With Galaxsea Divers you will learn how to dive in a respectable and fun way that will allow you to share knowledge with your friends, and identify wildlife (whether it be a fish, a shark, or a coral) that few have ever seen before. You will have the freedom and ability to dive with a certified adult buddy, and add fun and adventure to your holidays.

What do I need to start?

You need to be at least 10 years old, in good health, reasonably fit, and be capable of swimming 200m. You will also need to complete the following forms with your parent/guardian:

  • PADI Statement of Risks and Liability.PADI/RSTC

  • Medical Statement.

  • PADI Standard Safe Diving Practices.

What will I do?

The PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course will make you familiar with the equipment you need, and provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary for safe and enjoyable dives into your new world of adventures. The course consists of five academic modules and five pool-based modules, commonly called 'the referral'. This is then followed by four open water qualification dives. We are able to offer you numerous options:

After completing your academic and pool-based learning you can come and join us on one of our many trips to loacations including Egypt, Malta and Stoney Cove. At these locations you will be able to complete your PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course under the supervision of an Instructer from Glaxsea Divers. You will also witness unique wildlife and conditions for each of these locations, whether it be the clown fish in Egypt or the pike in Stoney Cove.

Alternatively after completing 'the referral', take your new found skills to a PADI Dive Centre at the destnation of your choice for the completion of your PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course.

How long will it take?
