What do I need to start?
To enrol on the Project AWARE Specialty course you need only have an interest in the aquatic world. There is no minimum age or experience requirement. Divers and nondivers alike enjoy learning about the aquatic environment.
What will I do?
This course covers the information about aquatic ecosystems degradation along with conservation measures to protect aquatic resources including:
• The Project AWARE philosophy about protecting worldwide aquatic ecosystems.
• The importance of an interdependent nature of worldwide aquatic ecosystems.
• Fisheries challenges and sustainability.
• Coral environment overview and inhabitants.
• The role of the diver in protecting aquatic environments.
How long will it take?
PADI programs are performance based. However, you can expect to complete the course in less than a day.

Where can I go from here?
As a Project AWARE Specialist you can enrol on the PADI Open Water Diver course or continue your education through the wide variety of PADI specialty courses. This certification also counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
