PADI Assistant Instructor
The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). You'll not only gain additional experience as a PADI Professional but you'll also start learning the PADI System of diver education.
What will I need to start?
You need to be at least 18 years old, have been a certified diver for at least six months and have 60 logged dives, including night, deep, and navigation. You will also need to be a PADI Divemaster or hold qualifying certifications from another organisation.
What will I do?
You will develop knowledge through self-study, quizzes, lectures and presentations. Complete confined water skill reviews, assessments, workshops and presentations. As well as open water workshops, candidate presentations, and a rescue assessment.
How long will it take?
All PADI programs are performance based. The course can vary from as little as three days to more than two weeks.

What do I bring?
At this level of training it is expected that you own a full set of equipment however, tanks and weights can be supplied if required.

• Evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor

• Teach Emergency First Response after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course
